Throughout this last week of work I have focused on putting my work on a digital platform and finalising my project along with creating another photoshoot using the embroidered pillows of my first photoshoot. However, I will be using the pillows to cover the body, showing aspects of the body such as arms and legs. This will create the figure to be completely distorted and consumed by the exhaustion. My final outcome is the pillows so I am using them as a prop in this photoshoot to present them/further add to the idea fo exhaustion using them as a prop.
This is my initial plan for my final photoshoot:

Although the plans are limited the idea is still presented well and has been executed as desired within my successful imagery. By resting upon the pillows and using them to rest on as I would at home from exhaustion. I have also decided to use black and white within my imagery, similar within my other work, to present bleakness and the sadness that is surrounding us all at the moment.
By using a light duvet as a backdrop complimented by the embroidered pillows and slumped body it presents how I would like to present these ideas of no motivation towards the viewers, constant references of exhaustion and just wanting to sleep. Many people at the moment are tired of the restrictions of the pandemic, although keeping everything closed is good its okay to feel sympathy for yourself and have this exhaustion. Being isolated is never easy, especially when it isnt under your control. The body is surrounded by creased bedding presenting signs of irritation a new chaos by the messy sheet.
Analysis:

Within this photoshoot it collaborates my previous photoshoot and embroidery work presenting exhaustion together. Using bedsheets, pillows and a slumped figure as props throughout to present the dejected emotions which many are feeling due to the isolation of lockdown. I have chosen to not show the face within any of my work and using the body and its positioning to present emotion. Similar to Harrison and Wood exploration of the body and how it can be manipulated as a vessel. I feel using the body to present exhaustion rather than facial expressions is amore ‘powerful’ way to get my message across, the whole body is completely exhausted and barely standing up - presenting how hard it really is to deal with a lack of motivation. Using my own experiences along with other peoples experiences which I have found online to create imagery which many could relate to. The use of black and white is to show the bleakness of life and how all excitement has been stripped by the lack of motivation towards anything due to current isolation. This is further complemented by the negative space surrounding the model of the bed sheet but also the white pillows creating negative space obstructing the figure. Presenting ideas of being surrounded by negativity within our current lockdown and how it is affecting the way we are experiencing emotions. Everyone has mental health and its important to keep it on the ‘good side’ but at times like this, for many, it is a struggle. By using lack of colour I feel it presents this struggle along with the pose/imagery that is on the pillows.
Overall, this piece is highly successful communicating my ideas of how lockdown has affected the motivation of many, including myself. Along with movement throughout, starting from the slumped head moving down the figure/pillows - this movement in the piece then contradicts the lack of movement that is going on behind the scenes due to lack fo motivation and exhaustion. i also find this piece to be successful due to its communication on how I am currently feeling, showing my interpretation of motivation.
Although I have not experimented with many materials, the ones I have used are successful in communicating lack of motivation.
